Paediatricians

The Newborn Screening Program is offered by the Center for Preventive Pediatrics “Amerikos Argyriou”  to all newborns, with the aim of diagnosing congenital hypothyroidism and phenylketonuria and initiating timely treatment.

To assist collaborating doctors, the Center has prepared a relevant GUIDELINES FORM regarding the operation of the program.

An important part of the procedures is determined by the operation of the electronic system NEOGNOS, which has been developed by the “Amerikos Argyriou” Center for Preventive Pediatrics and is used by doctors participating in the screening programs.

To register in the system, acceptance of the agreement for the exchange & processing of personal data is required. This obligation arises from the General Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.
